Joe is the first script I wrote after arriving in New York last year. The first draft was completed in about ten days; rewrites lasted just over a month.
Despite its arthouse-y plot (a failed screenwriter murders his family and spends the second half of the film trying to cover it up while rewriting his script), the dang thing has legs.
It just clocked a Semi-Finalist place in the SoCal Film Festival.
My short play The Penis Play, is receiving its premiere as part of The Elephant in the Room Short Play Festival at 13th Street Repertory Theatre.

My script Joe has now made it to the Quarter-Finalist round in two of the more respected screenwriting competitions in the industry: BlueCat and Scriptapalooza.
I already know it didn’t make the Semi-Finalist round at BlueCat, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Scriptapalooza.
